Originally called a looking glass. âLooking glassâ was the term used until the mid-19th century, when âmirrorâ became common. This lovey oval mirror has restrained cresting at the top and matching pendant finial at the bottom. The sides are decorated with pierced carving of foliated scrolls and leafage.
